In the heart of South Mumbai, Apsara Ice Creams has been a beloved institution since 1971, serving frozen treats that have stood the test of time. With a rich legacy spanning five decades, Apsara Ice Creams approached TRC for a fresh new look that would honour its heritage while embracing the future. Our challenge was clear: to renew the brand without losing the essence of its 50-year-old legacy.

Goals and Objectives

Our mission was to breathe new life into Apsara Ice Creams while preserving the spirit that had endeared it to generations of ice cream lovers. The objectives were crystal clear:

  • • Rebrand Apsara Ice Creams for a contemporary audience while respecting its historical significance.

  • • Develop a fresh, appealing visual identity that retained the essence of the original branding.

  • • Create a new packaging design for their exciting range of sugar-free fruit ice creams.

Design Process
and Development

Rebranding a cherished brand like Apsara Ice Creams required a delicate touch. Our approach was a fusion of creativity and respect for tradition.

  • Honouring the Past: We began by delving into the brand’s history, understanding its roots, and cherishing the memories it had created over five decades. We wanted to ensure that the brand’s loyal customers would recognize and embrace the changes.


  • Refreshing the Look: Apsara’s original colour palette and iconic logo were the cornerstones of its identity. We retained these elements while giving them a contemporary twist. The logo was refined, and the colours were rejuvenated to add a modern vibrancy.

  • Packaging for the Future: For the new sugar-free fruit ice cream range, we crafted innovative packaging that was both eye-catching and informative. The designs were not just visually appealing but also conveyed the health-conscious message of the product.


  • Renders for perfect representation: We came up with 3- renders of each product to understand the container shape and functionality.
