HAFELE
A Stint With Häfele- A Global Giant
Project Introduction
Häfele is a renowned German brand, synonymous with precision and quality in hardware and electronic access systems. In 2017, we at TRC were presented with an exhilarating opportunity to collaborate with Häfele. This project marked a significant step for Häfele, as it was the first time they outsourced content creation for their new Nagold range of products to India. Our role was to imbue these products with a visual language that not only resonated with the Indian market but also aligned with Häfele’s global aesthetic.
Goals And
Objectives
Our primary goal was to encapsulate the essence of Häfele’s Nagold series through artful imagery. The challenge was to ensure these images, shot by our colleague agency, transcended mere product photos, evolving into a narrative that spoke to both Häfele’s legacy and the aspirations of the modern Indian consumer. The objective extended beyond capturing the physical beauty of the appliances; it was about conveying the quality, innovation, and elegance that Häfele represents.
Design Process
And Development
The journey of bringing this vision to life was intensive and detail-oriented. I, Shubham, founder of TRC, took on the roles of main editor and art director, a dual responsibility that was both demanding and fulfilling. Our process for each of the 45 images crafted for the 12 appliances was efficient :
-
- • Preparation and Setup: Each shoot required 3-4 hours of preparation, involving the creation of an isolated studio space. This setup was crucial to ensure the perfect ambience for each product.
-
- • Editing and Attention to Detail: Post-shoot, each image underwent 8-10 hours of editing. Our focus was on the minutiae – ensuring not a speck of dust was visible, managing the visibility of appliance wires, and controlling reflections on surfaces. This level of attention was what set these images apart.
What We Achieved
The images we crafted for Häfele’s Nagold series have stood the test of time. They are still prominently featured in Häfele’s offline stores and on their product packaging, a testament to the enduring quality of our work.
Conclusion
Our collaboration with Häfele was a testament to TRC’s commitment to artistic excellence and attention to detail. It was an honour to be chosen by such a prestigious brand and to have our work become an integral part of their product presentation. This project was a vivid reminder of the power of visual storytelling in transforming a product into a narrative.
